Baranzate Ateliers: Belgian Design Hub Debuts in Milan During Salone del Mobile
During Milan Design Week 2022, the Belgian creative hub Baranzate Ateliers opened in an ex-factory in Baranzate, mirroring the Zaventem Ateliers near Brussels founded by designer Lionel Jadot. The project brings together 21 designers, artists, and scenographers, including Maison Jonckers (Alexandra and Grégoire Jonckers), ceramist Bela Silva, and designer Pierre-Emmanuel Vandeputte. The space features open-source workshops, exhibition areas, and a packed calendar of VIP dinners, concerts, and performances. Separately, Belgium is Design also presented The New Belgians collective stand at Salone Satellite with 13 studios exploring science, technology, and art, plus a Belgian Design Map for the city.
