Bar Kap Revives Singapore's Tan Yeok Nee Mansion with Spirited Cocktails
A new cocktail bar, Bar Kap, has opened its doors at the historic House of Tan Yeok Nee, located at 101 Penang Road, Singapore. This mansion, built in 1885, is the last of the city's grand residences, previously owned by Teochew merchant Tan Yeok Nee. The unique cocktail menu features six drinks that reflect distinct historical periods. The renovation, executed by DP Architects, has preserved original architectural elements, enhanced by contemporary touches from local studio Farm. Bar Kap also boasts two private rooms and a diverse food menu, with highlights including salmon roe with yuzu granita and rendang-stuffed bao.
