Bangkok Art Biennale 2024 Announces Expanded Artist List and Venues
The fourth Bangkok Art Biennale (BAB), themed Nurture Gaia, is scheduled from 24 October 2024 to 25 February 2025. This edition will showcase 45 artists across nine different venues, introducing locations such as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha and One Bangkok. In collaboration with Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev), the biennale addresses modern themes like ecology and feminism. Notable artists include Adel Abdessemed, Chiara Camoni, and Lisa Reihana. During the vernissage week, performances by Kira O’Reilly and Amanda Coogan will be featured. The event is directed by Prof. Dr. Apinan Poshyananda, with assistance from a curatorial team and new advisors Jean-Hubert Martin and Qiu Zhijie, representing 28 countries, including the USA, France, and Thailand.
