Bangkok Art Biennale 2024 Announces Artists and Venues
The Bangkok Art Biennale has announced its complete roster of 45 artists and collectives for the upcoming 2024 edition, scheduled from October 24, 2024, to February 25, 2025. Under the curation of Prof. Dr. Apinan Poshyananda, Pojai Akratanakul, Dr. Brian Curtin, Akiko Miki, and Dr. Paramaporn Sirikulchayanont, this year's theme is 'Nurture Gaia,' which delves into the Earth’s role as a nurturer in various cultures while tackling climate change and political matters. The event will take place in historic venues such as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the Temple of Dawn, Museum Siam, and the newly developed One Bangkok. Featured artists include Adel Abdessemed, the Pejvak Collective, Joseph Beuys, Louise Bourgeois, Elmgreen & Dragset, and Camille Henrot, across nine locations in Bangkok.
