Bady Dalloul's First UAE Institutional Solo Exhibition at Jameel Arts Centre
Art Jameel is set to present 'Self-portrait with a cat I don’t have,' which is Bady Dalloul's first solo exhibition in an institutional setting in the UAE. It will take place at the Jameel Arts Centre in Dubai from September 20, 2025, to February 22, 2026. The showcase merges personal stories with broader themes, exploring identity, migration, and how individual memories connect to global issues. A public talk featuring Dalloul, curator Lucas Morin, researcher Mizuho Yamazaki, artist Ala Younis, and publisher Ahmad Makia will kick off on September 20 at 4 pm. Dalloul’s work critically engages with Western narratives and includes a series of 50 pieces inspired by a 19th-century Japanese astrology book, along with miniature drawings in the 'Matchboxes' series.
