AWOL Vision Launches Aetherion Series UST Projectors with 200-Inch 4K Image
AWOL Vision, a Florida-based company, has introduced the Aetherion Series of ultra-short-throw (UST) projectors, including the Pro and Max models. Both feature a 0.2:1 throw ratio, enabling a 100-inch image from under half a foot and a 200-inch image from under two feet. The projectors use a 4K triple-laser light source with PixelLock technology for sharpness, produce 2,600 (Pro) and 3,300 (Max) ISO lumens, and have a 6,000:1 native contrast ratio. They support HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and IMAX Enhanced, with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The Max model is suitable for outdoor use. The series raised over $18 million on Kickstarter earlier this year. The Pro costs $3,499 and the Max $4,499, with a $150 Early Access discount available until May 6.
