Avery Dennison Releases Environmental Product Declarations for Architectural Window Films

Avery Dennison has released detailed Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for its range of architectural window films, which include verified information on the environmental effects of 24 interior and 14 exterior solar and safety films. Created in line with ISO 14025:2006 and EN 15804:2012+A2:2019/AC:2021, these EPDs provide a 'cradle-to-gate' life cycle assessment that encompasses raw material acquisition, manufacturing, and performance metrics. The films effectively filter 85–99 percent of solar energy, minimizing heat gain and UV exposure. The production site in Hanita, Israel, holds ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications. Avery Dennison's goal is to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, prioritizing reductions in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. The EPDs are accessible for architects and specifiers to aid in LEED and BREEAM certifications while decreasing operational carbon footprints.
