Avelino Sala's 'La tempestad' Opens at CentroCentro in Madrid

CentroCentro in Madrid is showcasing 'La tempestad. El jardín de los senderos que se bifurcan', marking the inaugural solo exhibition of Spanish artist Avelino Sala, under the curation of Semíramis González. This exhibition, co-produced with LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial in Gijón, features ten installations that explore themes of migration, environmental issues, and capitalism. Notable works include the 'Biblioteca de Babel' series and the globe sculptures titled 'Washings.' Avelino Sala, a Madrid resident, has gained international recognition and has received numerous accolades, such as the 2007 Artport International Video Award. The exhibition is open until September 20, 2026, with a temporary closure for renovations starting May 7. Sala will conduct workshops at CentroCentro on September 18 and 19.
