Autumn 2025: Three Must-See Gallery Shows in Venice

exhibition · 2026-04-26

Venice's gallery scene continues to expand, with French galleries notably clustering in the Dorsoduro district. Galerie Negropontes, which opened in 2024, presents 'Architectural Landscapes' at Palazzina Masieri, a 17th-century palace with interiors by Carlo Scarpa. The show features sculptures by Gianluca Pacchioni, glass works by Perrin & Perrin, and a tapestry by Pinton, alongside Maison Matisse vases and artist-designed jewelry, running until November 22, 2025. 193 Gallery, also established in Venice in 2024, hosts a solo exhibition by Peruvian artist Aldo Chaparro titled 'Are we still pretending this is not about us?' until November 30, 2025. The show includes crushed steel wall sculptures, wooden totems, mobile installations in brass and Murano glass, and gradient paintings. Galleria Alberta Pane, a long-standing venue, presents Portuguese artist João Vilhena's 'Predizione Perdizione' until November 22, 2025. Vilhena's large-scale drawings in pierre noire on gray cardboard critique human arrogance toward nature and war, mimicking old photographs and postcards.
