Auroboros' couture dress that grows and decays during London Design Week
Auroboros is set to unveil a couture dress at London Design Week, taking place from September 22 to 26, with previews on September 18 and 19. This unique garment, modeled by Ai-Da, the first robot artist globally, will replicate the life cycles of living organisms, growing and disintegrating in a way that reflects seasonal changes. Founded by Paula Sello and Alissa Aulbekova and based at the Sarabande Foundation, Auroboros will also present digital clothing models via augmented reality, which generate 97% less emissions compared to traditional apparel. In June 2020, Auroboros made headlines as the first brand to launch a fully virtual Ready-To-Wear collection, collaborating with the Institute of Digital Fashion for the digital piece 'VenusTrap,' showcased by model Sita Abellan.
