publication · 2026-04-26

A new graphic novel titled 'Audrey Hepburn' chronicles the life of the iconic actress, published by BeccoGiallo in Padua in 2023. Created by Michele Botton and Dorilys Giacchetto, with supervision from Hepburn's son Luca Dotti, the 176-page volume covers her childhood during WWII, her ballet dreams, film debut in 'The Secret People' (Thorold Dickinson), and iconic roles like Holly Golightly in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', Princess Ann in 'Roman Holiday', and Eliza in 'My Fair Lady'. It also explores her retreat from Hollywood in the 1970s and her later work as a UNICEF ambassador. Botton cited the Bonelli comic 'Julia' as inspiration for Hepburn's aesthetic.
