Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma celebrates 20 years with eight months of events
Starting on April 21, 2022, the Fondazione Musica per Roma commemorates two decades of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, which was crafted by Renzo Piano. This celebration marks 20 years since the venue's opening concerts on April 21, 2002, with performances by the Orchestra and Chorus of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Myung-Whun Chung, Uto Ughi, Patti Smith, among others. The Auditorium's journey began in 1993, with Piano's design winning on July 27, 1994. Construction commenced in September 1997, and the management entity Musica per Roma was established in July 1999. The anniversary festivities will continue until December 21, 2022, featuring concerts by Antonio Pappano, Jaap van Zweden, and more, alongside premieres and unique performances.
