Audi Nuvolari: Limited-Edition Hybrid Supercar Revives Brand's Performance Heritage
Audi has unveiled the Nuvolari, a limited-edition hybrid supercar limited to 499 units, named after racing driver Tazio Nuvolari. The car produces 1,001 PS from a twin-turbocharged V8 paired with a high-performance hybrid system, featuring a 7.3 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 10,000 rpm redline. Performance includes 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph. The Nuvolari uses a quattro all-wheel-drive system with three electric motors and introduces active aerodynamics influenced by Audi's Formula 1 entry. The design updates the R8's supercar aesthetic with carbon fiber body panels and a titanium signature color. The interior is minimal, with color accents evoking the 1930s Auto Union Type C. The car will arrive in the first half of next year, positioning Audi against Ferrari and McLaren in the luxury market.
