Asymmetry Art Foundation and ArtReview Launch Partnership to Support Curatorial Discourse on Asia

ArtReview has announced a new partnership with London-based Asymmetry Art Foundation, founded by collector Yan Du in 2019. The foundation focuses on fostering curatorial practice and cultural exchange related to Asia through fellowships, residencies, and public programming. As part of the collaboration, essays by Asymmetry fellows will be published on artreview.com to explore the future of curatorial practice. Asymmetry's initiatives include curatorial fellowships at prominent European institutions like London's Chisenhale Gallery and Whitechapel Gallery, aimed at advancing knowledge of Chinese and Sinophone contemporary art. The foundation also offers scholarships for early-career academics, including a PhD placement in Goldsmiths, University of London's 'Advanced Practices' programme and postdoctoral fellowships through a collaboration with the Courtauld. These efforts seek to provide career opportunities and nurture new paths in curatorial discourse.
