Astre Mobile: Transparent Art Car Exhibition at the Hôtel de la Marine in Paris
The Astre Mobile, a unique automobile that will never be driven, will be showcased at the Cour de l'Intendant de l'Hôtel de la Marine in Paris from September 9 to 27, 2026. Led by Antoine Tauvel, this initiative involves the work of ten French artisans, each turning individual parts into standalone pieces of art. The speedometer features feather marquetry, the gear lever is crafted from porcelain, the steering wheel is made of driftwood, and the headlights are white onyx hubcaps. The exhibition, located at 2 place de la Concorde, 75008 Paris, welcomes visitors daily from 10:30 to 19:00, extending to 21:30 on Fridays, with free admission for all to enjoy the intricate craftsmanship.
