Aston Martin DB12 S: New Flagship Super Tourer Debuts
Aston Martin has launched the DB12 S, completing its trio of 'S'-suffixed models alongside the Vantage S and DBX S. This is the first DB model to carry the S badge since the DB3 S race car of the early 1950s. The S designation brings a modest 20hp power increase, up to 38kg weight savings (including a £9,200 optional titanium exhaust), and dynamic enhancements such as recalibrated throttle response, dampers, and electronic rear differential. Standard features include Carbon Ceramic Brakes, a new fixed rear spoiler, and a deeper front splitter and side sills. The DB12 S also debuts Apple CarPlay Ultra, making Aston Martin the first brand to offer this fully integrated interface. The car was launched at Château La Coste in Provence, owned by Patrick McKillen, a venue known for its art and architecture. The DB12 S coupé starts at £205,000, while the Volante convertible is £218,000. Aston Martin reports that 90% of core model buyers opt for the S variant.
