exhibition · 2026-05-07

ASIF, a new cultural space, opens at Via della Lungara 24 in Rome's Trastevere district on May 8, 2026. The inaugural exhibition, "Educazione sentimentale per architetti," features over sixty works by Venetian artist and illustrator Chiara Carrer (born 1958), including collages, engravings, and sculptures exploring the theme of dwelling. The show runs until June 20, 2026, curated by stationery and typography shop Bonvini 1909, named Artribune's gallery of the year in 2025. ASIF also houses a radio station with programs such as "L'Aliscafo delle 7," "P/ARTE CONTEMPORANEA," "Spazio Calice," "Specchio d'acqua," and "Scoglio letterario," covering art, city life, cinema, and literature. The space is run by a team including Yasmin Rosciglione (production and digital communication director), Arturo Zanaica (music director and sound curator), Novella Hoffer (curator), Iacopo Taddia (editorial director), Monica Dell'acqua (spatial designer), Edoardo Taddia (logistics director and event coordinator), and Blanca Castro Xiques (associate artist and curator). The founders describe ASIF's ethos as an ethical-political stance of organizing and creating "as if" cultural emancipation were possible, resisting in a present marked by catastrophe and paralysis of imagination.
