Asia Art Archive Names John Tain Head of Research, Özge Ersoy Public Programmes Lead

Asia Art Archive has appointed John Tain as its new head of research, succeeding Hammad Nasar. Tain will assume the position in October 2017, bringing experience from a ten-year tenure as curator of modern and contemporary collections at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles. His responsibilities will include shaping the Archive's research agenda and fostering partnerships with arts communities locally and globally. Additionally, Özge Ersoy has been named public programmes lead, having joined AAA in August 2017 after working as programme manager and curator for Collectorspace in Istanbul. Ersoy is collaborating with a team to develop programming that interacts with AAA's collection. These appointments were announced on 22 September 2017.
