ArtVilnius Turns 10: Lithuania's Leading Art Fair Celebrates Anniversary

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

ArtVilnius, the largest contemporary art fair in the Baltic states and the only one in Lithuania, marks its tenth anniversary from May 30 to June 2, 2019, at the Litexpo exhibition center in Vilnius. Organized by the Lithuanian Art Galleries Association, the fair attracts 22,000 visitors annually, receives over 200 applications, and selects 60 galleries. France is the guest country for the anniversary edition, with a program curated by Aurélie Faure (aka Katarina Stella), who has worked with Fondation d'entreprise Hermès and Nuit Blanche, and featuring galleries such as those of Emmanuel Perrotin and Eva Hober in Paris. The fair includes a VIP program for collectors, international installation and sculpture exhibition The Path, awards for artists and galleries, talks, a special projects space curated by Francesca Ferrarini of Lewben Art Foundation, and a retrospective of young artists from the past decade. Night tours of Vilnius galleries and museums are also planned. Director Diana Stomienė noted that ArtVilnius has inspired neighboring fairs in Kyiv and Tbilisi. The fair is supported by exclusive partner Lewben Art Foundation and has previously featured institutions like MOCAK Krakow and Łaźnia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdańsk.
