So, back in 2015 at ArtVerona, they kicked off something called the Fondo Privato Acquisizioni, now known as the Gruppo Privato d’Acquisto per l’arte contemporanea. This was all started by the fair's steering committee, with Andrea Bruciati at the helm and Adriana Polveroni leading the first edition. Fast forward to its second anniversary in 2017, and they’ve upped their investment to €82,500 from €50,000, with hopes for more if more collectors join in. Their goal is to support the Italian art scene by helping emerging artists through memberships, scholarships, and exhibitions. Gianfranco Maraniello leads the scientific committee, which includes notable collectors. Mauro Fasol mentioned the group's aim to boost creativity in young Italian artists, emphasizing the need for tax breaks and a new patronage system.
