ArtVerona 2018 Unveils Utopia Theme and 145 Galleries

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

The 14th edition of the Italian art fair, ArtVerona 2018, is set to take place from October 12 to 15, led by Adriana Polveroni, who has taken over from Andrea Bruciati. This year’s theme, 'Utopia,' continues the #backtoitaly initiative. Polveroni's goal is to highlight often overlooked Italian art beyond Arte Povera. She is co-curating a collateral exhibition named 'Chi utopia mangia le mele' alongside Gabriele Tosi at Palazzo dell'Ex Dogana di Terra. The fair will showcase 145 exhibitors, which includes 35 new galleries and 18 editorial entities, organized into six sections. Lithuania will be featured as the guest country in the new Focus On section. The Free Stage will also return to support emerging artists, with independent spaces chosen through the i9 contest, such as CUT, FuturDome, and Impasse.
