ArtVerona 12th Edition Unveiled at Venice Architecture Biennale with €150K Acquisition Fund

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

ArtVerona leveraged the media spotlight of the Venice Architecture Biennale to present its 12th edition at Palazzetto Tito, home of the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation. The fair runs from Friday 14 to Monday 17. Key highlights include an acquisition plan totaling €150,000 from Fondazione Domus di Cariverona and a private fund, more participating galleries, higher quality proposals, and city initiatives inspired by Mozart. A new project, Alchimie Culturali, brings together Veronafiere, Bevilacqua La Masa, Regione del Veneto, and Confindustria Veneto to connect businesses with art. Six artists will collaborate with six local companies, complementing the existing Open Source format that paired with Marchesi Antinori during Vinitaly. Guidalberto di Canossa, vice president of Veronafiere, stated that the fair actively supports the Italian art system through exhibitions and concrete acquisition funds. In 2015, ArtVerona hosted 150 exhibitors, 420 collectors, 1,150 artists, and 22,000 visitors. Elena Amadini, deputy commercial director of Veronafiere, said this year's level is even higher, aiming to foster business around art by consolidating relationships among gallerists, collectors, entrepreneurs, critics, journalists, curators, and museum directors.
