Artribune Web Series 'Spazi d'artista' Concludes with Licia Galizia

The tenth and final episode of the web series 'Spazi d'artista' features Italian artist Licia Galizia (born 1966 in Teramo, lives and works in L'Aquila and Rome). In the interview, Galizia states that her work consistently engages with space and demands active participation from the viewer, who must touch the artwork. She recalls that a middle school teacher alerted her father to her artistic inclination, strongly recommending she attend an art school, which set her on her path. The series is a collaboration between Artribune and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, aimed at promoting the Collezione Farnesina, a collection of modern and contemporary art housed in the ministry's historic Rome headquarters. The web series comprises ten films, each dedicated to a different artist from the collection, released monthly from December 2020 to September 2021. Filmed in the artists' studios, the episodes focus on their research and relationship with creative space. The project also includes Instagram Stories on Artribune's profile, offering micro-insights into the collection, and a printed special supplement in Artribune Magazine featuring contributions from three members of the collection's Scientific Committee: Gianfranco Maraniello, Anna Mattirolo, and Angela Tecce.
