Artribune urges continued investment in cultural publishing during crisis

opinion-review · 2026-04-27

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Italian art magazine Artribune calls on cultural institutions to maintain their advertising and communication investments in print and digital media. The magazine argues that cutting support now will leave the cultural sector without essential media outlets when the crisis ends, making recovery harder. Artribune offers its platform—built over ten years with a large email, web, and social media following—to museums, galleries, and non-profits for streaming, videotours, podcasts, and other digital content. The magazine also promotes its specialized newsletters: Incanti (art market), Render (urban regeneration), and PAX (cultural tourism). Flavio Favelli created a stand for Artribune at an event in Bologna. The piece emphasizes mutual aid and the need for collective survival both epidemiologically and economically.
