Artribune's TAILOR newsletter explores textile art and Made in Italy crisis
The second 2026 issue of TAILOR, Artribune's newsletter on fashion, art, and culture, will be published on Sunday, January 25. The newsletter, curated by Margherita Cuccia and Giulio Solfrizzi, aims to tell untold stories, report news, and suggest exhibitions and events. The issue features a section on textile art, including the exhibition 'Per filo e per segno. Percorsi di arte tessile in Italia' curated by Alberto Fiz, inaugurated on January 15 at BUILDING Box in Milan. The exhibition runs throughout 2026 with 12 monthly solo shows by Italian artists of different generations, focusing on textile art's growing relevance in contemporary art, technological innovation, and natural materials. Another section addresses the crisis of Made in Italy fashion, with a focus written by Marta Melini discussing the economic and identity importance of Italian fashion and the need for concrete actions to preserve it. TAILOR is published biweekly and the next issue will be on February 8, 2026. Free subscription is available.
