Artribune launches Focus Moda, a new editorial project on Italian fashion and artistic perfumery

publication · 2026-04-27

Artribune has launched Focus Moda, a new editorial project dedicated to Italian fashion and trends. The initiative aims to rediscover the cultural identity of the Italian fashion industry across the peninsula, presenting Made in Italy as a vast 'exhibition space' crafted with artisanal care. The project features a mosaic of unique images produced by 40 talents, following a simple and deductive visual alphabet that narrates the art of fashion between past and present, while also illustrating the study of a fragrance. Artistic perfumery is highlighted as part of the Italian 'beautiful and well-made' tradition, capable of working and ennobling materials in a design and aesthetic sense. The cover of the first Focus Moda hosts a special international project by Maison Valentino in collaboration with IED Milano and 1 Granary, a London-based editorial platform and incubator focusing on archive fashion as inspiration for future creativity. Five Valentino Vintage dresses, created under the creative direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli and IED Roma Alumnus, have been donated to talents of the Istituto Europeo di Design, the only Italian academic partner of the project. These talents visually reinterpreted the dresses to bring new generations closer to the brand's aesthetic universe and artisanal mastery, using archive pieces as a sustainable and ethical tool. The project will be presented in Milan by Reading Room.
