Artribune Jobs: 5 Open Calls for Artists and Curators in Italy

Artribune, an Italian art magazine, has launched a monthly column highlighting current open calls and competitions in the art world. The first installment features five opportunities. The Apulia Center for Art and Technology in Ruvo di Puglia offers a 15-day artist residency in December 2018 for artists aged 18-35, with a deadline of October 25, 2018. The States of Mind Prize, organized by the Festival Gli Stati della Mente and Laboratorio Arka, is open to artists under 35, with finalists exhibiting at Palazzo Valmarana Braga in Vicenza in February 2019; the winner receives a residency and solo show at Fusion Art Gallery / Inaudita in Turin. The Radia open call, promoted by the Centro d'Arte degli Studenti dell'Università di Padova in collaboration with SaMPL and Conservatorio Pollini, seeks composers and sound designers for acousmatic works to be performed at the auditorium Pollini in Padua on December 14, 2018; deadline is October 17, 2018. The Fondazione Adolfo Pini in Milan is seeking five curators under 35 for a two-year team to develop its cultural program @Pini – Casa dei saperi, with applications due by October 22, 2018. Finally, the Fondazione Centro Arti Visive di Pietrasanta is organizing the Michelangelo Reload residency from November 4-12, 2018, for ten young Italian artists under 35, curated by Alessandro Romanini, with a deadline of October 20, 2018.
