Artribune at Artissima 2016: Recycling Stand by Viola Tonucci

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

At Artissima 2016 in Turin, Artribune's stand D features a sustainable installation by designer Viola Tonucci. The stand offers subscriptions at €30 instead of €39, including six issues of Artribune Magazine plus special publications, and a free book or art catalog from a wide selection. The installation, Recycling Artribune, repurposes old magazines into a tapestry with the Artribune logo and a pouf reproducing the MAO model, which was noted at the Young & Design 2011 competition and produced by Manifestodesign since 2012. The pouf MAO has also been used in the SFMoMA lounge. Tonucci's work focuses on recycling and recovery of materials, values, and ancient traditions, using a loom-weaving technique called 'pezzotto' with reclaimed fabrics from Italian manufacturers. The stand also includes two limited-edition poufs woven with reclaimed premium cottons, a similarly woven carpet, and solid ash wood container tables.
