ArtReview Updates Submission Terms for Writers and Artists

ArtReview Ltd has revised its submission conditions for contributors, detailing payment structures and rights. Writers and artists must ensure their work is original, unpublished, and free from legal issues. If an article is deemed unacceptable, the contributor receives 25% of the agreed fee, while a full fee is paid if ArtReview withdraws it for other reasons. Payment occurs within six weeks of publication upon invoice receipt. Contributors grant ArtReview a worldwide exclusive license for 12 months, with syndication outside the platform yielding 50% of the sale price to the contributor. After this period, syndication requires crediting ArtReview and prior notification, though ArtReview retains veto rights in certain cases. Copyright remains with the contributor, who must be identified as the author in all ArtReview publications. The terms apply to submissions to ArtReview Magazine, ArtReview Asia, the ArtReview Website, and ArtReview Digital, collectively referred to as ArtReview Publications.
