ArtReview's Culture Club Talk with Larry Achiampong and Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley Postponed

A planned discussion event featuring artists Larry Achiampong and Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. The talk was scheduled to take place at The Standard hotel's Library Lounge in London. Organized by ArtReview and The Standard, London, this inaugural edition of The Culture Club series was designed to explore art's capacity to reimagine and transform society. Moderated by ArtReview Editor-in-Chief Mark Rappolt, the conversation would have centered on the question 'What can art do?' Larry Achiampong's practice examines Pan-African histories, postcolonial themes, and posthuman existence through performance, film, animation, and sculpture. He is also consulting on the redevelopment of Smithfields Market near The Standard's St Pancras location. Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley creates animation and art focused on the Black trans experience, addressing issues of identity and expanding worldviews. The Culture Club series aims to introduce audiences to innovative voices shaping global art scenes through intimate talks. A new date for the event will be announced soon.
