ArtReview Launches Brazil Supplement with Instituto Guimarães Rosa Support

ArtReview has unveiled a special edition focusing on Brazilian art, made possible by Instituto Guimarães Rosa, which will be distributed for free alongside the April issue and at the Venice Biennale. Curator Raphael Fonseca examines areas from the Afro-Brazilian northeast to the Indigenous west. Six artists share insights about their hometowns, such as São Luís and Belém. The Future Greats series highlights five artists, including Jonathas de Andrade and Cinthia Marcelle. Daiara Tukano emphasizes Indigenous individuals merging art with activism, featuring photography by Paulo Desana and poetry by Trudruá Dorrico, with four pieces translated into English. Adriano Pedrosa reflects on his position at Museu de Arte de São Paulo, while the publication showcases commissioned works by Sallisa Rosa, Bruno Baptistelli, Andréa Hygino, and Allan Pinheiro.
