ArtReview hosts discussion on art's social role with Norberto Roldan and Marv Recinto

On October 24, 2020, ArtReview will present 'What Can Art Do?' featuring artist Norberto 'Peewee' Roldan alongside critic Marv Recinto, with moderation by Fi Churchman. This event is part of the third annual symposium titled 'Instructions for the woodcutters: Art, Sustainability and Commitment,' organized by Thanks for Nothing from October 19 to 23, 2020, in collaboration with the Serpentine's General Ecology project and ArtReview. The symposium will explore environmental practices in the realms of art, architecture, and philosophy, using the Philippines as a focal point. Roldan, a multimedia artist and curator, co-founded Green Papaya Art Projects in 2000, while Recinto is a London-based Filipina arts writer. Registration is necessary to attend.
