ArtReview Culture Club Hosts Panel on Public Art's Meaning with Abbas Zahedi, Stewart Home, and Stella Ioannou

The Shoreditch Arts Club in London will present an ArtReview Culture Club discussion on Wednesday, 21 February at 7pm, titled 'Public Art – What’s ‘Public’ About It?'. The panel features artist Abbas Zahedi, writer and artist Stewart Home, and Lacuna director Stella Ioannou, engaging in dialogue with ArtReview editor J.J. Charlesworth. They will explore the essence of public art in the context of ongoing debates regarding monument removal and the authority behind such decisions. Zahedi, a London native born in 1984, incorporates philosophy and performance into his art. Home, born in 1962, has written 17 novels and had a retrospective at White Columns in 2011. Ioannou established Lacuna in 2010 and is the Artistic Director of Sculpture in the City. The venue is located at 6 Redchurch Street, London E2 7DD, with doors opening at 6:30pm.
