ArtReview April Issue Launch Features Feminist Film Screening and Ana Mendieta Reading
On Tuesday, 24 April 2018, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, ArtReview will celebrate the release of its April issue at its bar in London. The evening will feature a 20-minute screening of 'The City of Ladies,' a 2017 short film by Zanny Begg and Elise McLeod, which adapts the work of Christine de Pizan to discuss feminist activism in Paris. Each screening generates over 300,000 narrative variations and includes interviews with notable figures such as Hélène Cixous and Silvia Federici. Writer Rosanna Mclaughlin will present her work on Ana Mendieta's legacy, informed by her research during a 2017 residency. The April issue also includes contributions from various authors and will take place at 1 Honduras Street, London EC1Y 0TH, with a cash bar available. RSVPs can be sent to rsvp@artreview.com.
