ArtReview and NOWNESS Launch AI-Focused Digital Channel MC2 with Summer Season 'Alternate Realities'
On July 21, MC2, a digital-first channel dedicated to exploring AI and emerging technologies in storytelling, was launched through a partnership between ArtReview and NOWNESS. Named after Einstein's famous equation, the channel features both digital and physical artworks while covering aspects of digital culture. The inaugural summer season, titled 'Alternate Realities', presents works that examine themes of selfhood and perception, with AI acting as both a reflective tool and a disruptor. Curated by Kate Gu, Bunny Kinney, Irini Mirena Papadimitriou, Mark Rappolt, and Marlene Wenger, it showcases artists such as Nouf Aljowaysir, Ayman Zedani, Lu Yang, Natasha Tontey, Kawita Vatanajyankur, Pat Pataranutaporn, Nikita Diakur, and Silvia Dal Dosso. MC2 seeks to encourage dialogue among artists, audiences, and machines.
