ArtReview and APENFT Foundation Host Panel on NFT Artworld Agency with Beeple, Hans Ulrich Obrist

On August 9, 2023, at 5pm BST, ArtReview, in collaboration with the APENFT Foundation, hosted an online panel discussion focused on the influence of NFTs in the art sector. Featured speakers were artist Beeple (Mike Winkelmann), Hans Ulrich Obrist from Serpentine Gallery, Christiana Ine-Kimba Boyle of Pace Gallery, and Sydney Xiong representing APENFT, with JJ Charlesworth, the ArtReview Editor, serving as moderator. The conversation centered on how NFTs could transform artistic practices and question established art institutions. This event marks the beginning of a series organized by ArtReview and APENFT. Beeple rose to prominence in February 2021 with his NFT titled "Everydays: the First 5000 Days." Established on March 29, 2021, APENFT Foundation manages a collection valued at over $46 million, featuring works by Picasso and Warhol.
