ArtOnTime: New Performance Prize Launches with Crowdfunding and Swiss Watchmaker Support

ArtOnTime, a new prize combining exhibition, curatorial project, and crowdfunding, has been launched by Marco Trevisan (Christie's consultant), Verona-based collector Giorgio Fasol, and Tommaso Cinti (founder of Artraising.org). The initiative focuses on performance art, the most intangible art form. To incentivize crowdfunding contributions, artists will create derivative works or other initiatives for patrons, alongside public engagement events. The first edition will preview at MIA Photo Fair in Milan (March 10–13), followed by events at the Istituto Svizzero in Venice and Romaeuropa Festival in Rome. Four selected artists—Invernomuto (Simone Bertuzzi and Simone Trabucchi), Julia Khran, Luigi Presicce, and Giordano Rush—will present performances in June at Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi in Venice and after summer at Romaeuropa Festival. They also compete for the Eberhard & Co. Prize for Performing Art, awarded by the Swiss watchmaker. The scientific committee includes Fasol, curator Antonio Grulli, Riccardo Lisi (director of La Rada, Locarno), and Monique Veaute (president of Fondazione Romaeuropa).
