Artonauti launches sixth sticker album blending art history with AI themes

publication · 2026-04-26

The sixth edition of Artonauti, an Italian sticker album series dedicated to art history, will be released on March 27, 2025, in Italian newsstands. Created by Daniela Re and Marco Tatarella, the album targets children aged 7–14 and features incomplete reproductions of masterpieces organized by dominant color, such as Vincent van Gogh's 'Wheatfield with Crows' (yellow), Francesco Hayez's 'The Kiss' (blue), and Umberto Boccioni's 'Riot in the Gallery' (red). Children complete the images by applying stickers and access additional games, quizzes, and riddles via QR codes. The new album, titled 'Le emozioni dei colori' (The Emotions of Colors), introduces Eureka, a fictional AI character, prompting reflection on the limits and possibilities of artificial intelligence. The protagonists Ale, Morgana, and dog Argo return. The project has been adopted by thousands of Italian schools, with teachers using it as an interdisciplinary educational tool. Examples include a teacher at Milan's Crispi primary school using the album for a full year with a third-grade class, and a school in Bergamo where all classes adopted Artonauti for interclass workshops. The album is also available in a premium hardcover edition for pre-order.
