ArtMappItalia app lets users book visits to artists' studios across Italy

ArtMappItalia, a new online platform and mobile app, connects artists directly with art enthusiasts and tourists through an interactive map that allows users to locate artists' studios across Italy and book visits. Founded by Roberta Ciut, president of the cultural association Volare e.V., the project was developed with support from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, Area Science Park of Trieste, and BIC Incubatori FVG. The app aims to provide innovative cultural tourism experiences, emphasizing slow, emotional travel and direct engagement with creativity. Among the initial experiences is "The Dream," a sound and light installation by Antonio Della Marina and Alessandra Zucchi at Spazioersetti in Udine on June 1, 2022, inspired by La Monte Young and Marian Zazeela's Dream House and influenced by James Turrell, Dan Flavin, and Verner Panton. Another event is "Moon is full of balloons," a creative workshop for children at Maria Sanchez Puyade's atelier in Trieste on June 4–5, 2022. ArtMappItalia offers free platform use for all of 2022 to artists, both emerging and established.
