Artists Transform Holiday Windows into Artworks Worldwide

For the holiday season, luxury retailers and department stores are collaborating with contemporary artists to create immersive window displays. In London, Selfridges commissioned Italian artist Flaminia Veronesi for its iconic Christmas windows. Her installation "Play with Fantasy" (2024) creates three parallel dimensions exploring fantasy through different media. Cesar, the Italian kitchen brand, launched the Holiday Village Project across its flagship stores in Pramaggiore, Milan, Paris, Seoul, and Vancouver. Artists include Nicola Grotto (street art at Pramaggiore), Joanne Elizabeth Shipp (Milan window featuring the Duomo), Bianca Gelmetti (Paris with Eiffel Tower), Ahn YuJung (Seoul with Eastern atmospheres), and Megan Bridge (Vancouver with city skyline and mountains). Louis Vuitton unveiled an enchanted carousel campaign in Macao, China, Japan, and Paris, with AR filters on Instagram. Seletti transformed La Rinascente in Rome into the Seletti Market, inspired by 1960s supermarkets, featuring collaborations with Studio Job, Toiletpaper, Marcantonio, Uto Balmoral, and CTRLZAK. In Paris, BHV Marais commissioned French illustrator Limistic to create a whimsical elf-filled house for its windows.
