Artists Space appoints Kelly Taxter as deputy director

Kelly Taxter has been appointed as the new deputy director of Artists Space, a renowned nonprofit art organization established in New York in 1972. Taking over from Miriam Katzeff, Taxter brings a wealth of experience, having served as the curator of contemporary art at the Jewish Museum from 2013 until 2021 and as director of the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, New York. Previously, she co-owned Taxter & Spengemann gallery in New York from 2003 to 2011. Taxter, who was inspired by Artists Space during her earlier years, aims to continue its legacy of nurturing emerging artists.
