Artist Residency smArt_grounding//2 Concludes at Tenuta La Favola in Sicily

The smArt_grounding//2 artist residency, held at Tenuta la Favola in Sicily's Val di Noto, recently wrapped up. Organized by Bridge Art and curated by Lorenzo Madaro, the event was titled Vademecum per un dialogo. It showcased the works of artists Michele Tiberio and Niccolò de Napoli at the organic farm. This residency was part of the 2016-2017 short residency call, led by Lori Adragna and Valeria Valenza, with backing from the Comune di Noto. Both artists engaged with sculpture, reflecting on dialogue and the surrounding landscape. Weather conditions impacted their creations; Tiberio crafted a sculpture from suspended branches, while De Napoli incorporated black film and natural materials in a vacant cellar, fostering interaction with the space. An exhibition at CUMO is upcoming.
