Artist Recordings and Vinyl Projects Bridge Art and Music Worlds

Jérôme Sans curated the 2008 exhibition 'It’s not only Rock ‘n’ Roll, Baby!' at Bozar in Brussels, featuring art by musicians. Allen Ruppersberg's El Segundo Record Club produces lathe-cut recordings from his 78 collection, with customized sleeves that sometimes obscure original imagery. Edition Fieber, founded in 2010 by Thomas Venker and Jan Lankisch, releases limited artist vinyl editions, including works by Raymond Pettibon and Terence Koh. Kchung, an artist-run radio station in LA's Chinatown, broadcasts locally and was featured in the Hammer Museum's Made In LA biennial. The Tapeworm cassette label publishes tape-specific recordings, such as Paul H. Williams's 1984-5 computer-generated music. The Vinyl Factory recently presented Christian Marclay's live recordings at White Cube in Bermondsey and Trevor Jackson's multi-format album in Soho.
