Artist Pension Trust's inaugural auction sales at Sotheby's New York and London
In March and April, the Artist Pension Trust (APT) will host its inaugural auction sales in New York and London through Sotheby's. Established in 2004, this organization has curated a collection of over 13,000 artworks from its member artists over the past twenty years. Proceeds from these sales are shared with artists according to the length of their membership, with a segment going into a communal fund. Among the prominent artists involved are Pawel Althamer, Nairy Baghramian, Douglas Gordon, Liam Gillick, Fiona Banner, and Ryan Gander. Additionally, in December, APT joined forces with mutualart.com, a subscription service that provides artist insights, auction information, and resources for those in the art market.
