Artissima opens public search for 2027-2030 director

Fondazione Torino Musei has launched a public selection process to find the next director of Artissima, Italy's leading contemporary art fair, starting from the 2027 edition. The call is open until March 30, 2026, well ahead of current director Luigi Fassi's term expiration. The new role will be a four-year mandate covering editions 2027 to 2030. Candidates will be evaluated by an ad hoc commission, with results announced via official channels. The director will oversee all aspects of the fair: organizational management, service quality, financial sustainability, and cultural vision. Key priorities include strengthening Artissima's global positioning, developing sustainable economic and operational strategies, and creating a strategic plan aligned with Fondazione Torino Musei's programming. The director must also work synergistically with other foundation structures while preserving the fair's autonomy. The brand value of Artissima—built through special projects, curatorial initiatives, and international relationships with institutions, collectors, and networks—is considered crucial. The fair seeks a hybrid figure comfortable with both artistic and managerial responsibilities, reflecting its dual nature of balancing research and market.
