Artissima and The Others Award 11 Prizes in Turin

At Artissima 2016, seven prizes were awarded, while The Others fair gave four. The illy Present Future Prize went to Cécile B. Evans (Galerie Barbara Seiler, Zurich) for 'What the heart wants' (2016). The Sardi per l’arte Back to the Future Prize (€5,000) was won by Galerie in situ – Fabienne Leclerc (Paris) for a project on Lars Fredrikson. The Reda Prize, for artists under 35 using photography, was awarded to Joanna Piotrowska (Madragoa, Lisbon). The Fondazione Ettore Fico Prize (€5,000) went to Gian Maria Tosatti (Lia Rumma, Main Section). The Mutina Prize (€5,000) was given to Giorgio Andreotta Calò (Sprovieri, London). The Owenscorp Prize, a new award for the New Entries section, was won by Galeria Cavalo (Rio de Janeiro). The Prix K-Way® Per4m (€10,000) for performance was awarded to Juliette Blightman (Galerie Isabella Bortolozzi, Berlin) for 'Now, Soon, Wait'. The Others fair presented four awards: best curatorial project to l’ètrangère (London) for a dialogue between Małgorzata Markiewicz and Marie Jeschke; best original work to Sound Detection 01 by Polisonum; best work in Exhibit to Anita Witek's 'Es ist so wie es scheint/Turin 2016'; and #BottegaBaretti to Chiara Fucà (Eggers 2.0, Turin).
