Artissima 2023 unveils new visual identity by FIONDA

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

Artissima, the contemporary art fair in Turin, has unveiled its new visual identity for its 30th edition, designed by Turin-based studio FIONDA, directed by Roberto Maria Clemente. The fair, directed by Luigi Fassi for the second consecutive year, will take place at Oval from November 3 to 5, 2023, with a preview on November 2. The theme "Relations of Care" is inspired by an essay by Brazilian anthropologist Renzo Taddei, emphasizing art as a matrix of relationships. Over 180 galleries will participate, including nearly 40 new entries selected through global scouting. The visual identity, developed by FIONDA (which also designed the fair's communication for its 25th anniversary in 2018), uses imagery of evolving harmonious sets, ecosystems, and organisms in dialogue, representing communities built on relationships that maintain planetary balance. Curatorially, the fair is divided into four main sections (Main Section, New Entries, Monologue/Dialogue, Art Spaces & Editions) and three collateral sections (Disegni, Present Future, Back to the Future), also hosted on the digital platform Voice Over. For the second year, Curatorial Advisors Krist Gruijthuijsen (director of KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin) and Jacopo Crivelli Visconti (curator of the 34th São Paulo Biennial) will help shape the edition's experimental and research-oriented character.
