festival-fair · 2026-04-27

On March 7, 2022, Luigi Fassi, the newly appointed director of Artissima, unveiled his plans for the 29th iteration of the contemporary art fair, scheduled for November 3 (preview) and November 4–6 (public days) at Oval Lingotto in Turin. Having taken on the role on February 1 for a three-year period, Fassi highlighted the importance of maintaining the fair's experimental essence and its theme of "transformative experience," drawing inspiration from philosopher Laurie Ann Paul. Curated sections will feature Disegni, overseen by Irina Zucca Alessandrelli, and Present Future, co-directed by Saim Demircan and Maurin Dietrich. Fassi announced that the fair will not partner with Russian institutions amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict but may support Ukrainian artists. Intesa Sanpaolo serves as the primary sponsor.
