Artgenève 2024: boutique fair returns to Geneva with new director and strong international presence

Artgenève's 12th edition took place at Palexpo in Geneva from January 25 to 28, 2024, featuring 80 exhibitors, a decrease from 90 in 2023. The new director, Charlotte Diwan, 31, has taken over from Thomas Hug, who is currently being investigated for fraud and mismanagement. International galleries represented 70% of the exhibitors, with prominent names such as Kamel Mennour and Hauser & Wirth. Italian participants included 10 A.M. ART and P420. Semiose presented artist Xie Lei, while Marion Baruch was showcased by Urs Meile. Prices varied from thousands to hundreds of thousands of euros. The fair also included exhibitions from the Centre d’Art Contemporain de Genève, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Additionally, the Wilde gallery launched a new space, and Plateform 10 hosted the Immersion exhibition.
