artgenève 2020: 95 Galleries, New Video Art Section, and Prix Solo Award
The ninth iteration of artgenève, overseen by Thomas Hug, is set to take place at Palexpo in Geneva from January 30 to February 2, 2020, featuring 95 galleries. Newcomers to the event include Lévy Gorvy and Massimo De Carlo, while established participants like Hauser & Wirth and Gagosian will return. A fresh video art segment, developed in partnership with Loop Barcelona, will showcase about ten galleries. The Prix Solo artgenève-F.P.Journe will highlight approximately fifteen exhibitions, with Beatrix Ruf and Marc-Olivier Wahler serving as judges; the winning piece will be added to MAMCO's collection. The artgenève / sculptures section will also return, and artgenève / musique will host Encores on January 31. Additionally, the second edition of get a nerve will occur at Villa Sarasin, with collaborations involving MAMCO Genève and the Royal Academy of Arts.
